Why it matters

Your books, handled — so you can run the business

Running a business already takes up most of your day. Between serving customers, following up on invoices, and keeping operations moving, sitting down to reconcile a bank statement is usually the last thing anyone wants to do — and often the first thing that slips. That is the gap we fill.

We work with startups, solo founders, contractors, eCommerce sellers, and established companies — and we have learned that no two sets of books look the same. So our small business bookkeeping services are not a one-size-fits-all package. We shape them around how your business actually runs, so you end up with clearer financials and fewer surprises at month-end.

Online & remote

Online bookkeeping services that keep up with you

Most of our clients never need to hand over a single paper file. As a provider of online bookkeeping services, we work inside secure, cloud-based accounting systems — including QuickBooks — so you can see your financials in real time, from anywhere. That gives growing companies a full bookkeeping function without the cost and overhead of an in-house hire:

  • Secure cloud access to your books
  • Clean, accurate financial reporting
  • A dedicated bookkeeper who knows your account
  • Monthly reports delivered on time
  • Easy hand-offs to your CPA or tax preparer

Under one roof

Accounting and bookkeeping, connected

Bookkeeping keeps the day-to-day accurate. Accounting turns those numbers into something you can act on. We do both — so you get organized records and the insight behind them: the context that helps you price a job, plan a hire, or spot a cash-flow problem before it becomes one. We also handle payroll and QuickBooks software conversions when you need them, so nothing falls through the cracks between your bookkeeper and your accountant.

How we close your month

The Numerawise monthly close

Days 1–3

Pull bank and credit card feeds. Categorize new transactions. Match against AP and AR records.

Days 4–7

Reconcile every bank and card account to its statement. Research and resolve any differences.

Days 8–10

Post adjusting entries: accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, intercompany if applicable.

Days 11–14

Generate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Review against prior month and budget if you keep one.

By the 15th

Books closed. Reports delivered. Open items flagged for your review or CPA handoff.

Catch-up & clean-up

Months behind? We get you current first

If your books are months or years behind, we run a catch-up engagement before ongoing service starts. Common starting points: six months behind, a full year behind, behind since a software change, or behind since the prior bookkeeper left. We reconcile the backlog, sort out miscategorized transactions, and get you current before tax season turns it into an emergency.

Catch-up is priced separately from monthly service — from $750 for a partial-year catch-up; full-year catch-ups depend on transaction volume and number of accounts. We quote catch-up after a free file review.

Questions, considered

Common bookkeeping questions

How do I find reliable bookkeeping services near me?

You do not actually need a bookkeeper in your own zip code anymore. We deliver bookkeeping services remotely to businesses across the country, securely in the cloud. If you have been searching for a “bookkeeper near me,” what you really want is someone responsive and accurate — and that is exactly what our nationwide team provides, wherever you are based.

How much do small business bookkeeping services cost?

Pricing starts at $300/month and depends on your transaction volume, how many accounts we reconcile, and whether you need extras like payroll support or catch-up work. No surprise invoices — you get a clear monthly rate based on your actual needs before any work starts.

What’s included in your bookkeeping service packages?

The core monthly work — transaction recording, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and financial statements — scaling up from there. Need payroll bookkeeping, cash-flow tracking, or year-end closing folded in? We build the package around it rather than charging for things you do not use.

Do you work in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or both?

Both. The majority of new engagements are on QuickBooks Online; existing Desktop clients stay on Desktop unless they ask to migrate. We also handle software migrations and conversions if you are moving from another system.

My books are months behind — can you still help?

Absolutely. Catch-up and clean-up work is one of the most common reasons businesses come to us. We reconcile the backlog, sort out miscategorized transactions, and get you current before tax season turns it into an emergency. Catch-up is quoted after a free file review.

Will you work with my CPA or tax preparer?

Yes, and most clients prefer it that way. Your books stay in your QuickBooks file and your CPA gets full access for tax work and year-end — so there is no last-minute scramble at filing time.

How do you handle multiple entities?

Each entity gets its own QuickBooks file and its own monthly close, with consolidated reporting available on our Standard and Growth packages.

Do you provide online accounting services along with bookkeeping?

We do. Beyond day-to-day bookkeeping, our online accounting services cover the reporting and financial-insight side — turning clean records into numbers you can make decisions with. Having both under one roof means nothing falls through the cracks.

How do online bookkeeping services for small business actually work?

You connect your bank, card, and payroll feeds to a secure cloud system, and we handle the bookkeeping remotely. You get real-time access to your books and monthly reports — no documents to mail and no in-person meetings required.

What’s the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording and reconciling — making sure every transaction lands in the right place. Accounting builds on that, interpreting the numbers for reporting, planning, and tax strategy. We offer both, so the two stay connected instead of living in separate silos.

Is my financial data safe with a remote bookkeeper?

It is protected the same way online banking is. We work inside encrypted, access-controlled cloud accounting systems and limit who can see your information to the people working directly on your account.

Do you serve established companies, not just startups?

Yes. Our business bookkeeping services support everything from solo founders and contractors up to established companies running multiple entities. The more complex your books get, the more value a dedicated bookkeeper adds.

Are you a professional bookkeeping company serving the whole USA?

Yes. Numerawise Solutions LLC is a USA-based professional bookkeeping provider working with clients nationwide through our secure remote model. Distance does not change the quality of the work.
